Noting the cylindrical shape of the bucket, tapering at the bottom into a smaller circle, the bucket can be inverted and placed on top of a ligh source, creating a lamp shade with directs the light towards the bottom of the bucket, focusing it on the surface on which it is placed (good for desks).
The light which escapes through the thin sides of the bucket is tinged green, giving the room an interesting ambience.
